The Corbett Education Foundation is looking to expand our board of directors and increase our team of volunteers.
Corbett Education Foundation (CEF) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization which has awarded scholarships valued at more than $288,000 to Corbett graduates over the last 19 years.
Recently, the demand for our scholarships has more than doubled which has increased the CEF workload and the consequent need for more volunteers. If you have a sincere interest in the success of our young people and enjoy working with a dedicated team to achieve a common goal, then we need to talk about our current board openings.
We are looking for individuals who are interested in either serving on our board or lending a hand to fulfill a specific need. If you’d like to learn more about who we are or are curious about upcoming activities and projects we’re planning, please let us know. As we are an all-volunteer organization, the office is not staffed on a daily basis, but we do have an answering machine that will collect messages and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Better yet, if you’d like to visit with us face-to-face, we usually meet each Monday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 pm to complete ongoing tasks and you are welcome to come see us. Just be sure to contact us ahead of time so that we can meet you at the door or gate. There are many, many ways you can help the Corbett Education Foundation in its continued support of our students, so don’t hesitate to come check us out.
Tasks for board members include the following:
- Planning and executing fundraising activities.
- Working with current donors representing families, businesses, and service organizations.
- Working with high school seniors and alumni in regard to scholarship applications and funding.
- Attendance at monthly CEF board meeting where aforementioned goals and policies are developed.
